Problem Statement
Learning editing through someone else's template often results in a person who can repeat but can't think independently. Most courses are built linearly — you go through them from start to finish and get a set of techniques, but not a system of thinking. In real work every project is different: different material, different tasks, different constraints. An editor who can't adapt to the conditions of a specific project will always depend on ready-made recipes. Drift Suite is designed specifically to overcome that dependency.
Solution
Drift Suite is a modular course system where each block is a separate, self-contained module, but together they form a complete understanding of editing. "Drift" is the ability to move flexibly, to adapt to the material. The course teaches not just techniques, but an approach: how to analyze a task, choose tools, and build a solution for specific material. The course structure allows you to return to individual modules in any order depending on your current task. This is the first Suite-level course from Montiqona.
What's Inside
The first module covers the foundations of a modular approach to editing: what it means in practice. The second module covers source material analysis: how to evaluate what you're working with before you start. The third module covers modular audio work: how to build a sound picture in parts. The fourth module covers modular color correction: how to process color scene by scene. The fifth module covers adapting pacing to genre and task. The sixth module covers assembling modules into a whole: how to join separate parts without losing quality. The seventh module is a practical assignment: assemble a video from scattered material using the modular approach.
Who It's For
For those who have completed foundational courses and want to move to more flexible, thoughtful work with material. For people who want to learn to adapt to different types of projects. For those who value structured knowledge but want freedom in applying it.
What You Will Learn
You'll learn the modular approach to editing and how to apply it in practice. You'll learn to analyze source material and plan work before editing begins. You'll gain structured knowledge of audio, color, and pacing as separate modules. You'll learn to assemble video from varied material. You'll complete the course with a practical assignment.
Refund Policy
If within 30 days of purchase the course doesn't suit you — we'll return your payment. No extra conditions.
How long is the course?
How long is the course?
The course has no fixed duration — you move at your own pace. As a rough guide, one module takes between 1 and 2 hours depending on the complexity level and the time you spend on practical assignments. You can complete a full course in a week or spread it over a month — that's your choice.
